This might be enough to discourage the bravest heart, but Harmony is determined to stay alive. She simply refuses to believe she'll never see her family or Griffin again.

Freedom isn't a place Harmony would normally travel to, but she's there on a mission to rescue her brother and cousin, Walker and Journey. Since The Great War, the world has become a barren and unfriendly place. If Harmony didn't already know that, she certainly does the moment she winds up in the walled-off city of Freedom. It turns out that this city is anything but free. Its people are ruled by a group of huge, spiderlike robots, aptly named Overseers.

In my field of dreams and optimistic plansI have planted what-ifs, reveries, and I-cans. I watered them with my blood, sweat, and tears and tilled each row with the jagged edge of my fears until one day I stood back and watched them bloom and smelled the scent of success’ sweet perfume.
