What would you do for a murdered friend? John Cutler is about to find out. When a friend is murdered, John Cutler is determined to find those responsible. This means running afoul of the local police department, a drug-running crew, and a wanted man who’s eluded capture for more than a decade. Now, danger lurks around every corner and in the shadows, but Cutler isn’t easily intimidated. Instead, he’s the type who will doggedly pursue justice at risk to his own life.

Should a wicked man get the same justice as the righteous? When a violent pimp is murdered, Major Crimes Detective Dallas Nash is assigned the case. With no witnesses and weak evidence, he must make a choice—vigorously investigate the killing or go through the motions before casually sweeping it into an unsolved file. Plenty of people want Nash to stop—the prostitutes abused by the deceased, a do-gooder with a shadowy past, and a cop with his thumb on the scales of equity. Yet no one is pushing for him to continue the investigation.

Avec l'aide de l'Archange et des super-héros de Mégalopolis, Jenn, Mervin et Orage ont réussi à échapper à la redoutable Légion Ténébris et à trouver la porte ouvrant sur Cyclos, la station spatiale - où extraterrestres et habitants de toute la galaxie côtoient dangereux mercenaires et chasseurs de prime.

Après avoir traversé Libertad, le monde des pirates, Mervin et Jenn se trouvent désormais dans l'univers de Mégalopolis, immense cité peuplée de superhéros aux pouvoirs incroyables. Ils espèrent y retrouver les ravisseurs de leur petite sœur grâce à l'aide de leur amie Orage, elle-même à la recherche de son père disparu. Mais, dans la ville, deux groupes ennemis s'affrontent. Malgré eux, les trois enfants vont se trouver impliqués dans le conflit.

À l'école, Jenn et son frère, Mervin, ont fait la connaissance d'une fille au nom étrange : Orage. Son père est le concepteur de WonderPark, un parc d'attractions mystérieux et désaffecté. Quand leur nouvelle amie leur propose de visiter l'endroit, Jenn et Mervin sont ravis. Mais à peine sont-ils entrés dans le parc que Zoey, leur petite sœur, disparaît. Les enfants découvrent alors que WonderPark est le portail de mondes magiques et pourtant bien réels. Sans hésiter, Jenn, Mervin et Orage s'engouffrent dans Libertad.
