Safaia, Tero, and Garasu are on a collision course, and the clans of Buryoku scramble to brace for the impact. The North is under siege by Octagon the Bitter and his horde of twisted monsters. All but two cities have fallen and their forces are dwindling by the day. With little choice remaining, Morgan sets out on his own to try and convince the rulers of the other Kingdoms to join in their cause. Convincing rulers who have been at each other's throats for centuries will not be easy, and Morgan has doubts as to whether they'll even listen. Still, for the sake of everyone in the Five Kingdoms, he has to try, even if it costs him everything.

The Ghost's Tower stands tall in the razed continent of Tero. Having just escaped the collapsing library and the awakening of a Titan, Roy and the others are shaken, but war waits for no one, even in the midst of a disaster.

Roy faces a new threat outside the Ghost's Tower as death marches on Mountain Moore. Meanwhile, on the continent of Garasu, Doragon and Hoshi battle a host of demons, all trying to break the walls of their fortress city.

Zundy has always been different. As a pal-tee, a distant cousin to the dwarves, he, and all others of his race, absorb traits from the very first item they touch upon birth. Instead of absorbing the essence of stone, or steel, like most others in his town, Zundy accidentally absorbed those of a beetle. Two years have passed since the fall of Octagon the Bitter and the dire warning from Order. The barrier that once separated the Five Kingdoms from the rest of the world is failing. The war for control of Faeland has begun, but the victors may very well have nobody to rule over once the battles come to an end. With the four World Beasts now battling, the land itself is splitting apart, forcing the dwarves and elves from their homelands as they march ever eastward to confront Shedra and the Arcane Kingdom. Sarah’s return doesn’t solve all of Morgan’s problems. On the contrary, he now knows he’s made enemies of all of the agents of Chaos.

Sam is back and better than ever! Just kidding. His life still sucks. Dragged into the video-game-like world of Somerset, he is constantly having his patience and sanity tested by the world's sheer tropiness and unoriginality. Like, for example, how Princess Willow of the East was kidnapped just a few hours after asking for his help in saving her kingdom. Or, how seemingly no one, including the all-powerful Adventurers Guild, can do anything about it.

Pentagon has been defeated, although Morgan’s fight has not yet reached its end. New and old enemies are converging, threatening the hard-won peace achieved with this latest victory. When he is attacked unexpectedly, Morgan finds himself on his own, forced to pick between two difficult choices. War is on the horizon, World Beasts are rising, and everything Morgan has worked to achieve is crumbling around him. Will he finally reach the very Pinnacle of power, or will he fail and fall before the might of those who wish to see him dead?

Who the hell is Virgonius Simp? To answer this all-important question, Sam must venture through the world of Somerset one last time. Of course, he isn’t exactly a willing participant, but Grem Lynn, queen of the gremlins, doesn’t really give him much choice. Tasked with destroying a conspiracy to overthrow her Grempire – get it? – Sam sets out with his odd group of people and talking animals.

After exiting the Trials, Dabu and Uhane set off in pursuit of Phoenix. However, after encountering a magically charged sandstorm, the pair find themselves far from their intended course. Running short on food and water, they have no choice but to try to find civilization. Instead, they find deserted villages, rumors of a terrifying beast that stalks the night, and no way to turn back. All they can do is forge on, both to find supplies and to discover what sort of creature can send entire villages fleeing for their lives.

When Arthur suddenly finds himself trapped in a brutal and twisted version of his favorite game, he is quickly forced to learn how to adapt to his new environment or perish. The Animal Kingdom is a wild and unforgiving place, and even the smallest hint of weakness can spell certain doom. Will he rise to the challenge and climb to the top of the food chain, or will he fall prey to someone else and end up as just another meal...?
