Salchar and the Free Fleet are tired, low on resources, man power and ships that should actually be flying. Yet they have a mandate, free those that are being oppressed. Sarenmenti, Humans, Kuruvians, Chaleelians, and the genetic creations of the AI called the Planner, Avarians, band together under the banner of the Free Fleet to go to the fleet’s birthplace - Earth. Life is nothing but a battle for a survival, and Salchar is going to have to use all of his skills to keep his people alive.

The Second Kalu War rages across known space. The newly formed Union undergoes its first baptism, the baptism of war. The Free Fleet is barely holding the line against the Kalu. When the black’s own creatures come tearing out from children’s nightmares, the Free Fleet will be there. Some might call those that make up the Free Fleet insane, might call them lunatics. But in this universe, it’s good to have some lunatics on your side.

Earth is safe for now, with it came some much needed surprises. Though if Salchar was expecting a break he’s in for a rude awakening, well he’s already done that once...but anyway. Lady Fairgate has sensed something has gone wrong at Parnmal. Thinking that Jorsht is now trying to carve out his own little kingdom, she sends Captain Kelu, one of her favourite enforcers with the largest Syndicate Fleet assembled since the Syndicate and the Union went head to head.

Factories toil in the darkness of space. To build weapons, to build armadas. Sphere World’s arrival brought changes that still ripple through human space. Orion Belt Enterprises has grown from a gaming company to a system-spanning corporation with fleets to rival the largest factions of human space.

Das Dritte Reich wirft neue Herausforderungen auf. Erik sucht nach dem alten Hei, während sich Rugrat mit seinem beschädigten Mana-System auseinandersetzt. Beide führt der Weg zur Prüfung des Alchemistenverbands. Beide hatten ehrlich nicht vor, sich Ärger einzuhandeln doch er scheint sie in den Zehn Reichen regelrecht zu verfolgen. Sie müssen sich erst durch das Dritte Reich kämpfen, um die Prüfung des Alchemistenverbands zu bestehen.

Erik West ist ehemaliger Kampfsanitäter. Er und sein bester Freund Jimmy »Rugrat« Rodriguez, Scharfschütze des US Marine Corps, sind in eine andere Welt geschleudert worden. Sie sind zu »Verfluchten« geworden. Nun müssen sie sich in dieser fantastisch anmutenden Welt zurechtfinden, in der sie ihre Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten erweitern müssen...sonst lauert der Tod.

Bei der Ankunft in den Zehn Reichen hatten Erik und Rugrat noch keine Ahnung, was vor sich ging. Sie wussten nur, dass sie sich mit dem Zwei-Wochen-Fluch angesteckt hatten. Bald lernten sie ihre Charakterübersichten und einen Teil des Systems kennen, das Zehn Reiche genannt wird. Ein Ort, an dem die Starken die Regeln aufstellen und sich die Schwachen in der Hoffnung daran klammern, beschützt und in Ruhe gelassen zu werden.
