Fort Ross State Park California. Fort Ross, was a Russian Fur Trading Outpost between 1812 and 1841, never a military fort. Original builds and replicas tell of a short lived Russian history in California. Fort Ross is one of the oldest parks in the California State Park System.

In the Southern Highlands of El Salvador, 2,600 years ago, a clay terrace was built on the side of a mountain. Today, the fan shaped terrace is covered with a thick layer of earth and artifacts belonging to the people who built and used this important ceremonial site. The site is also covered with hundreds of coffee trees, belonging to the Santa Leticia Gourmet Coffee Farm.

In Scotland's Clyde River Valley, not far from Glasgow, the industrial town of New Lanark was established in 1785. New Lanark was one of the largest cotton manufacturing centers in Great Britain, and a model for how employees, both adults and their children were treated by the companies they worked for. Today, New Lanark is a model of cultural heritage, preservation and restoration thanks to the New Lanark Conservation Trust. In 1937 vaudeville and silver-screen actor Leo Carrillo (Cisco Kid) purchased, and preserved over 2000 acres of southwest USA's rolling hills. The 27-acres that remain today are known as the Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park. Our tour of the Carrillo Ranch includes the Spanish style home they lived in, barns and other out buildings.

An audio journey exploring eastern Guatemala. In the first days of April 2004, the Mayan Q'eqchi people living in and around the Rio Dulce River celebrated the ending of their 360-day agrarian calendar. The Ak' Tenamit Association Campus and cultural center hosted the event. The Mayan Deer dance was performed for the first time in decades.
