Hoping to find Blackman and his gang of outlaws there Will rides to Arizona and finds the doomsday preacher. He enlists the help of three young cowboys, a rancher and an old hermit to find the outlaw gang.

John Stuart Tapscott, after service to the Confederacy and his home state of Virginia, heads westward to find a life that doesn't resemble a mockery of everything he's ever known. After brief stops, he finds himself an adopted member of a small band of Osage that have wandered to Texas. A series of events thereafter display the necessity to him of his leaving his new family and trekking further.

Will Cannon takes on the difficult task of finding the robber's roost. The Dutch Cromwell Gang hides out in their roost in the Wyoming badlands, and the gang has been robbing banks and trains for the last 10 years.

Deciding how best to introduce this audiobook was the most difficult part of the project. The story was already written for me in the form of a dispassionate diary. All I had to do was organize it, mix in some environmental trappings, sarcasm, a few jokes, send it to a proofreader and, with luck, I could pay the rent.

Will Cannon doesn't believe that the Indians guarding Red Rock Mountain are Ghost Riders. He does know that a vicious gang of outlaws have been robbing and killing innocent folks near the town of Grants, New Mexico. Will believes that the Ghost Riders are keeping everyone away from Red Rock Mountain because there is something on the mountain that the outlaws want to keep secret.

Before the Civil War had even begun, these young men, Zach and Luke, had already crossed paths while fishing in eastern Tennessee. After they parted ways, they never expected to later be pitted against each other in war - but, when Zach joined the Northern cause and Luke joined the Southern, that's exactly what happened. On the battlefields, each boy learns invaluable lessons about himself, and both contribute to the outcome of battles and, ultimately, to the war.
