Adam Wheeler has been a freelance motorcycle writer and reporter for almost twenty-five years. His first Grand Prix in a professional capacity was the 2001 round in Japan at Suzuka and he has been traveling the world, observing and charting disciplines like MotoGP, MXGP and Supercross ever since. The author spent his formative years growing up close to the Brands Hatch circuit in Kent, England. He wrote ‘Jamie Dobb: A year in the life of a motocross world champion’ in 2002 (Tempus Publishing) followed by ‘Motocross Grand Prix Review 2004’ (Tempus Publishing). Wheeler has been published in magazines and websites from Argentina to Australia and regularly contributes to RacerX magazine (U.S.) and six different European websites. In 2011 he created bi-weekly digital magazine ‘On-Track Off-Road’ which ran until 2023. He has won the FIM Award for ‘Best Journalist’ on two different occasions. In 2012 he published the first story about Supercross in the Daily Telegraph newspaper and has been a regular contributor to the ‘Cars/Motoring’ and Sport sections ever since, writing all of the MotoGP-related content. He has also written for Autosport magazine and is part of a journalistic team of four that produce the ‘Paddock Pass Podcast’ the biggest and longest-running MotoGP show. He has lived in Barcelona, Catalunya since 2001 and is married to Nuria while being a Dad to Alex and Jordi and trying not to be too depressed as a fan of Queens Park Rangers.
