I'm a leader, coach, and scholar. I collected various leadership and people management experience in past roles as Vice President Merchandising at Chewy and at Amazon where in my last role I led Talent Acquisition & Development in Seattle. Before that I was Director Kindle Content and Country Manager & Managing Director of Amazon BuyVIP in Germany. Before Amazon, I was GM Sales Europe at L´Oréal in Paris, France after I had held various senior leadership positions at LOréal: Managing Director in Poland and New Zealand, Marketing Director in Germany, Commercial Director in Australia, etc. Prior, I had been project manager at Rewe Group in Cologne, Germany; one of Europe´s leading retailers. As a young student I worked for an exchange year as a Cultural Representative of Germany at Disney World in Florida in the US as well as in Japan. My background is in management, sales, marketing, team building and development, in the US, Europe (West and East), Asia, Australia and New Zealand. I´m a passionate leadership expert with very comprehensive international working experience in Internet/E-Commerce, Technology, Consumer Goods, Retail (off- and on-line), and Services. I´m a certified coach and master coach. I was co-founder (and coach) at Amazon Germany´s in-house Coaching Program and a founding member of L´Oréal´s Mentoring Program in Germany. Over the past 20 years, I´ve coached many hundreds of top executives, leaders, start-up entrepreneurs, and young managers. Both as internal & external coach. In my spare-time I coach & mentor members of disadvantaged & underprivileged groups. I have a strong passion in assisting others to succeed. I believe that everyone carries all resources in order to grow. My coaching approach is progressive, supportive, and strongly goal-oriented. I studied management, economics, and marketing at Ludwigshafen Business School, Germany. I also studied in Salamanca,, Spain and in Nagoya, Japan. I did an MBA at Henley Management School in the UK. A few months ago, I completed my Doctor of Education (Ed.D) studies which I conducted parallel to work. My specialization is on organizational leadership to help in setting up high-performing and fulfilled teams and organizations. I´m a native German speaking English, French, Spanish, and some Japanese. I wrote books on Efficient Consumer Response and Leadership. My next book, which will be published in a few weeks time, will be on how companies can create a Coaching Culture. I enjoy blogging on LinkedIn on multiple stimulating topics. Some of my articles are featured in Business Insider, WSJ blog, World Economic Forum blog and other publications. Life is about living, loving, learning, and helping others!
