Anthony (“Tony”) Piscitelli, PhD, was a recent adjunct professor (2007-2019) in the Global Transportation Department at SUNY Maritime College, teaching graduate and undergraduate maritime security classes to include supply chain cyber security. Dr. Piscitelli was also the current designer and team-teaching lead for the SUNY Maritime Interdisciplinary Cyber Security Studies Group. Besides teaching at SUNY Maritime, Dr. Piscitelli is also currently an adjunct professor at Norwich University’s School of Graduate Studies - Military History. He was also the former Founder, Chairman of the Board, President, and CEO of American Defense Systems, Inc. Dr. Piscitelli is an acknowledged expert in security and anti-terrorism physical, operational, cyber generative AI, and other electronic security systems with over 38 years of industry experience with a specialization in blast, ballistic, and forced entry mitigation. Today, Dr. Piscitelli is a reformed political scientist turned military historian, with a special interest in military affairs and the American Revolution (Insurgency). He has completed his PhD at the University of Glasgow, School of Humanities – History Department with an emphasis on War Studies and the US Marine Corps.
