Christos Palaskas was born in 1981 in Brooklyn, New York. He moved to Greece in 1989 with his deeply religious mother to her hometown of Litochoro near Mount Olympus, the home of the 12 gods of mythology. He studied Information and Communication Systems Engineering at the University of the Aegean on the island of Samos and then served for 17 months with distinction as a cadet officer in the Hellenic Special Forces. Following military service, he worked as a computer technician and computer science teacher in Katerini. On April 14, 2006, he made the prayerful decision to leave his family, relatives, friends, and society to seclude himself in a monastery on “Holy Mountain” Athos. On August 25, 2013, after great internal struggle, he returned to society, settling in the city of Thessaloniki, where he worked for 2.5 years. He then moved to Seattle, Washington, where he worked as a software engineer for the automotive industry and met his wife Tiffany. He has two children, a boy and a girl. He has now found his opportunity to improve the world with Blockchain Technologies, sharing novel ideas with people. For more information, or to get in contact, visit: https://7YearsOnMountAthos.com
