Cindy Villanueva (1961-) was born and raised in San Jose, California and now resides on the other coast, in New Smyrna Beach Florida. She writes contemporary romance for more mature women--"the women society would love to make invisible," she notes. She began the Blooming series because she believes that women over 30 deserve stories that reflect their unique perspectives (careers, kids, broken relationships, or long-term commitments).
