I am an animal lover, an adventurer and a high school science teacher. I commute to work from Scarborough. I enjoy listening to stories on the radio while driving to work, one of which inspired my first book "Runaway Rodents. The Untold Story of Toronto’s Infamous Capybaras". I cheered on the capybaras when this true story took place in Toronto in 2016. In 2021 I released Runaway Rodents in an audiobook format with ACX which is now available on Audible. My second book Crabs on a train was also inspired by true events from Toronto. This time someone brought live crabs onto a crowded subway train. Crabs on a train is now ready to be enjoyed by kids of all ages in an eBook and a paperback format. I love to explore the wonders of the world around me by walking through my neighborhood or traveling through the jaw dropping biomes that make up our beautiful planet. Time and again you can find me challenging myself at picking up a new skill such as medicinal mushroom tincture making, crocheting, book writing or recently hand standing.
