After spending more than 20 years in the corporate world, Darrin made the decision to start anew by pursuing a Master's Degree in Writing for Stage and Screen at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for creating intricate characters and sharing their journeys through authentic storytelling. A published author and award-winning screenwriter, he explores the complexities of mental health and societal pressures upon the marginalized and tries to discover the human experience in new and relevant ways. From following strong female protagonists on their quest for elusive answers to navigating the struggles of flawed characters seeking truth, he is dedicated to shaping stories that inspire. His short film "A Mother's Love," which he not only wrote but directed, has been repeatedly recognized for its screenplay in film festivals and competitions alike.
