Donn has written stage plays, screenplays, feature articles, short stories, poetry, and children's books, including writing and starred in the feature film, "Buds for Life", available on DVD. Donn was a long time Staff Writer for Melt Magazine, an on-line alternative women’s magazine (www.meltmagazineforwomen.com.) He was also an Off-the-Bus blogger for HuffingtonPost.com during the 2006 presidential primary campaign (www.huffingtonpost.com/donn-swaby.) and as a staff writer for entertainmentvoice.com. Donn drew inspiration for his debut picture book, You’re Everything, Everywhere All the Time from the work of the artist Gerald Mc Dermott, who masterfully illustrated folk tales from cultures around the world.
