Dr. Denizela’ R. Dorsey is a leading clinical neuropsychological therapist and author who knows the effects and signs of trauma, specializing in psychological trauma-related disorders using neuropsychology. She knows emotional trauma and hardship that interfere with social development, from chronic to complex trauma. She has written five books and conducts seminars on trauma or emotional wounds across seventeen states, including the Caribbean. Dr. Dorsey is also an ordained Founding pastor of The Crossing Community Church of St. Louis County and has provided psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals and families since 1997. Dr. Dorsey holds several certifications in Chemical Dependency, Dual Diagnosis, Trauma-informed Practice, Neuropsychology-Neuropathology, Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, and Mental Health First Aid. She is also a Member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Dr. Dorsey holds a dual Bachelor of Science in clinical psychology and education from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. A Master of Clinical Social Work from the University of Kansas, a master of divinity from Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, and a doctorate of theology from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Dorsey believes in providing integrated treatment methods to all individuals, healing the whole person regardless of race or gender.
