Irvin Muchnick is author of UNDERWATER: The Greed-Soaked Tale of Sexual Abuse in USA Swimming and Around the Globe (2024), and four other books. His CHRIS & NANCY: The True Story of the Benoit Murder-Suicide and Pro Wrestling's Cocktail of Death (first published in 2009) is in its third and "Ultimate Historical Edition." The late dean of sportswriters Frank Deford said Muchnick "produces magnificent investigative journalism." He has appeared on forums as diverse as Fox News' "O'Reilly Factor," National Public Radio's "Fresh Air with Terry Gross," and ESPN's "Up Close." Muchnick was lead respondent in the landmark 2010 U.S. Supreme Court case for freelance writers' economic rights, Reed Elsevier v. Muchnick.
