James Jennings is a graduate of Emory and Henry College; took classes at Dallas Theological Seminary, Talbot Theological Seminary, and California State University. He is retired from a career in education and Information Technology. He is married and lives in the Virginia countryside, where he does battle with Stink Bugs, cat barf, and an expanding waistline. In his spare time, he enjoys writing, recording music, and flying his drone. He has friends who are Muslim, Christian (both conservative and liberal), and those outside any faith tradition. They are all his "neighbors." He strives to love them as he loves himself. As a boy, he was taken with Socrates’ mission as a “gadfly” and has since been an inveterate questioner and pest. He is uncomfortable speaking of himself in the third person. He seeks to be a defender of the true mission of the Church, a friend of the unchurched, and a lover of Jesus. He is a work in progress.
