Karen D McIntyre lives in La Plata, Maryland with her husband, Lew, and their three cats. She has two grown children, Jesse and Katy. Karen retired after twenty-eight years teaching in middle and high schools. In the spirit of the Renaissance woman, she taught Reading, English, Social Studies, Science, Math and Art. After 9/11, from 2002 to 2013, Karen was also part of a team doing counter-terror open-source intelligence collection. Karen is a voracious reader of multiple genres, but her favorite hobbles are wine tasting and going to the gym. She sings with the Chesapeake Choral Arts Society, loves to travel, and does volunteer work for Project Linus, making blankets for those hospitalized.
