Ladey is an Author, a Publisher, and Motivational Speaker (and most importantly a grand-mum). A lover of books from childhood when books were her friends! Ladey was a typesetter for a printing company and editor of their in-house magazine back in the late 1990s. Her career moved into the Charity sector where she held CEO and Chair positions. Alongside this, she ran her own business in education, secretarial and networking before writing her first book, Unfrozen in 2014. Her latest book (9th) is Successful Business Networking Online and she seeks to help business people present well online and attract sales to their business. Ladey rediscovering her love for words, books and authors when she wrote her first book and has gone on to write with her daughter Abbirose Adey a series of Little Unicorn children's books. Now, she head up the Non-Fiction book department for Ladey Adey Publications and leads on the Author Mentoring Programme for other people's books. As an Author she understands the book process and helps writers embark on their author journey to produce high quality and well written books which will attract many readers. Ladey believes that authors need to have 100% Copyright, 100% Control and 100% Royalties and this is the backbone to her family-run publishing business. Ladey loves to ask people: Is there a book in you? and If all things were equal, time, money and energy what would your book be about? As someone who has the author t-shirt - she lends this to others until they have their own author t-shirt! She loves this quote by Toni Morrison, "If there’s a book that you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it!” Ladey believes that books change lives, she recognises writing books is a privilege and works hard to support other authors to write their book and realise their book dreams and aspirations.
