My name is Laurence and I am an author. Now there's something I never thought I would write. I have had a love of books all my life, in particular PG Wodehouse but also John Connolly and lately Mick Herron. I live in the Peak District in the UK, a place of old lore and dark legends. I grew up in a VERY haunted house, and inheriting my father's dark sense of humour I guess at some point it had to come out in a book, and so The Hill was born. My wife and I appear in the book as a courting couple, and if you read it then what is written, from our characters point of view (Chaz and Janet), actually happened. Go figure. If you want to see a more 'human' side of my writing then I reccommend I'm Here About Your Dad, my other book published on Amazon, which is the memoirs of my time as a funeral celebrant (think unordained minister who stands at the lectern/graveside and delivers the service and eulogy). This little book contains a great deal of 'humanity', the good, the bad and the ugly of society in the environment of losing a loved one. Happy reading and thank you for your time!
