Manuela Elser (she/her) loves to get lost in fantastical worlds. Due to her congenital anosmia, she considered descriptions of smells to be a stylistic technique for a long time – which was confusing but hasn’t stopped her from devouring one book after another. However, just reading or writing about adventures was not enough. That’s why she does martial arts, horseback riding and climbing. For her own big adventure, she moved to Japan to study 3D graphics, where she learned her third language. She currently lives in Austria with two cats and eight tortoises and writes dark fantasy stories with a twist.
