Mark Jeffrey (@markjeffrey on Twitter) is an entrepreneur, crypto investor and author. He currently hosts the Across The Chains podcast and is General Partner at the Boolean Fund. He became an early investor in Ethereum after interviewing Vitalik Buterin on his podcast in 2014 and was in the Bitcoin class of 2013. He previously founded Guardian Circle (Partner: XPRIZE, FAST COMPANY ‘World Changing Idea’ 2018). Before that, he was CTO of Mahalo (backed by Sequoia, Elon Musk) and Co-Founder & CEO of the ThisWeekIn podcast network with Kevin Pollak & Jason Calacanis. He co-founded and sold ZeroDegrees (2002) an early social network, to IAC (2004), and was co-founder of The Palace (1995), one of the very first metaverses, backed by SOFTBANK, Intel and Time Warner, sold in 1998 with 10M users. Mark also worked with UBER founder Travis Kalanick on his pre-Uber startup, Red Swoosh. Mark created the first serialized podcast novel, Max Quick: The Pocket and the Pendant, in 2005 (2.3M downloads) which led to publication by Harper Collins (2011). His business books include Bitcoin Explained Simply (2013), The Case For Bitcoin (2015). Mark was also featured prominently in Trust Machine: The Story of Blockchain (Alex Winter, Rosario Dawson).
