Martina Murphy has been writing for as long as she can remember. Her first books were Enid Blyton rip-offs, where a group of children set out to solve mysteries. However, Martina was unable to solve the mysteries she had created. In a memorable book - The Mystery of the Disappearing People - there were no characters left by the end. However, when she was fifteen, she wrote a book for teenagers - as she was a teenager. It later became 'Livewire' and went on to win a White Raven Award when it was published ten years later. Having penned YA fiction - and garnered a Bisto Book Merit award, done a bit of journalism, written commercial fiction and been long-listed for an IMPAC Literary award, Martina turned back again to crime (the book kind). Thankfully, she has created two great detectives in DI Lucy Golden and DG Dan Brown, who seem to be able to get to the end of a murder case and find out all the answers. Martina's website is www.martinamurphyauthor.com Martina is also on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
