Patrick Watts obtained his bachelor’s degree in History at Birmingham University in England. While working as a chartered financial adviser, he completed his master’s degree in International Relations and Contemporary Warfare at King’s College London within the Department of War Studies. His dissertation, “Method not madness: discourse analysis to examine how President Trump has attempted to alter NATO principles, identity and culture”, laid the groundwork for his first book, The End of the American Empire. Patrick is currently studying to complete his MSc degree with the Alef Trust, in Consciousness, Spirituality and Transpersonal Psychology. Based in London, he has travelled widely across the United States, developing a deep and non-partisan understanding of American politics, culture and society.
