Roi Barnard has led quite the life over the last 80 plus years being born in Rural North Carolina in the 1940's, discovering he was gay, and escaping to the big city (Washington, DC).  He hid his identity as a gay man working for the FBI and other Federal Agencies and came out to the world while modeling and running salons and other businesses in Washington, DC with his partner Charles Stinson in Woodley Park. He lost him, his employees, many he knew and almost himself in the AIDS crisis of the 1980’s. In the 1990's he survived the aftermath, found new love, peace, and rebirth. He writes and lives to share a vision of hope to all people who struggle with their identity, life, and a desire for a better tomorrow. Roi lives, works, and writes from his sanctuary in Hockessin, Delaware.
