Ross Smith has been in the software industry for over 30 years, developing and testing software on everything from mainframe systems to handheld devices and PC's, and now AI. He has 7 software patents and has worked in software at Microsoft since 1991. Author of AI Revolution in Customer Service and Support (see also AIRevolutionBook com on the web) WW Support Leader, Modern Work, Microsoft Fellow, Royal Society of Arts UK Co-founder, Future World Alliance Co-founder, Seattle Women in Tech Consortium Sequoyah Fellow, American Indian Science and Engineering Society Ross is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and blogger. Author of the new AI Revolution in Customer Service and Support, as well as The Practical Guide to Defect Prevention. He is a PhD scholar at University College Dublin’s SMARTLab program, focused on AI, automation, worker displacement, and the future of work. To further this effort, he is a co-founder of the Future World Alliance, a nonprofit committed to responsible AI for the next generation. He has been part of the White House Champions of Change. Who’s Who in American Poetry 2013. And former member of the American Association of Editorial Cartoonists. He has worked at Microsoft for over 32 years, currently in M365 Supportability, working on ChatGPT deployment. He is a board member at Spreeha. He is a co-founder of the Seattle Women in Tech Consortium and member of the leadership council for iUrbanTeen.
