Sara Coven is an award-winning author, attorney, anthropologist, and dedicated community volunteer. Her audiobook, The One We Left Behind, won first place in The BookFest® competition in 2024, showcasing her exceptional talent as a storyteller. As an avid reader, writer, and traveler, Sara has long been fascinated by the people and cultures she encounters. Her passion for writing began early. She started crafting poetry and short stories as a child. The One We Left Behind was inspired by Sara’s personal experience as the aunt of a child with severe food allergies. This motivated her to become actively involved in raising awareness. She serves as an executive board member of the Northeast Ohio Food Allergy Network (NEOFAN), working to support children and families affected by food allergies. Sara resides in Cleveland, Ohio with her husband, daughter, and kooky little French bulldog. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new destinations, indulging her love of writing, and volunteering within her community.
