SARA PRITCHARD is the author of the novel-in-stories CRACKPOTS (2003, Houghton Mifflin), a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, and the linked-story collections LATELY [2007, Houghton Mifflin (or whatever it's called now)] and HELP WANTED: FEMALE (2013, Etruscan). Her stories and essays have been published in numerous literary journals. Sara's awards include the Bakeless Prize for Fiction, the Alexander Cappon Award for Fiction, a Pushcart Prize for her story "Two Studies in Entropy," and two West Virginia Literary Fellowships. Sara lived forever in West-by-Gawd Virginia, but retired in 2018 to Santa Fe, NM, where she lives with her husband, author Kevin Oderman, and their labradoodles.
