Sean J Fitzgerald is the author behind Aoife of Leinster, the opening book in the saga which brings to life the dry historical record of the Norman invasion of Ireland. Sean is a Dubliner. He started work at the age of thirteen on a milk float delivering door to door in the suburbs of north Dublin; he can remember the horse rearing and the crates of pint glass bottles shattering the quiet silence before dawn. He spent years travelling and working as an engineer, salesman and ultimately as an entrepreneur in places as diverse as Moscow, through Edinburgh to Boston and onward to California - all the while in the company of their great writers: Chekov, Dostoevsky, Gogol, Solzhenitsyn, Stephenson, Scott, Kerouac, Hemmingway, Steinbeck…to name a few. Today he lives in Kildare in Ireland with his wife, children, dogs and horses having returned home to do what he always wanted…to write.
