Novelist and journalist, born in 1966, Sophie Loubière is a French crime novels major voice. Her voice on the radio where she headed literary and cultural programs and chronicles (France Inter, France Info) until 2010 is also well known. Author of a dozen novels, she has also published two short stories collections and written numerous fictions podcast. In 2011,the stone boy, awarded and translated into English, achieved international success. Success confirmed in 2020 by the Landerneau Polar Prize for his novel Cinq Cartes Brûlées (Fleuve Noir). Her latest novel Obsolete (Belfond, 2024), a dystopia, is compared to The Handmaid’s Tale by M. Atwood and 1984 by G. Orwell. The book has received unanimous public and press acclaim since its release.
