Tade Reen is the father of four young children. He lives outside New York City with his family and spends summers in the small community of Southampton Shores on the East End of Long Island. He is the author of two novels and a daily email series. He was born in New York City and raised in New Canaan, Connecticut. He attended Muhlenberg College where he was both a Theatre Arts Major and a member of the football team. Upon graduation, he began a career as a professional actor. During his acting years, he held some interesting side-jobs to pay the rent: bartender, a Toy Soldier at FAO Schwartz in both NYC and Beverly Hills, a Census Taker, and Superman at children’s birthday parties. During this time he also received a federal grant to write a play about his educational experiences growing up with dyslexia, which was staged and performed around the country. His literary influences include Pat Conroy, Jim Harrison, Pete Hamill, John Patrick Shanley and Bruce Springsteen. A college football aficionado with no particular favorite team, and a supporter of the New York Giants, his many obsessions also include include U.S. and world politics, geography (especially odd geographical facts) and maps, talking to total strangers and hearing people’s stories.
