Growing up I was a bit of a misfit. I asked pensive questions and was extremely curious about “the why’s”. I did not easily conform. Not only did this type of personality present challenges to my parents, it also caused me to question my existence. Why was I here? What was I born to do? At 17, my dad gave me the book, In Pursuit of Purpose by Dr.Myles Munroe, and this book changed the trajectory of my life. For the first time, I realized that I was born on purpose and for a purpose. This purpose was greater than me. Life has a way of testing your existence. You are left with the decision to either quit or to persevere. Even through a painful divorce and recurring miscarriages, I chose to persevere. Was it difficult? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely. No matter what life brought me, I was able to persevere by tapping into God’s purpose for my life. This allowed me to go after my dream of entrepreneurship, becoming a business owner. Guess what? You can do the same.
