Zara Stone is an award-winning journalist who writes for The Atlantic, The Washington Post, OneZero, Wired Magazine, Cosmopolitan, The San Francisco Chronicle, The BBC, and Forbes Magazine, among others. She was born in London, England, and moved to New York for further study. She graduated from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and jumped into the U.S. media world, reporting for The Wall Street Journal, then transitioning into on-air reporting for ABC News. Now a full-time freelance writer and author, she spends her spare time playing games in virtual reality, speed-reading (120 books a year!), hula hooping, and falling off her paddleboard. She lives in San Francisco and cares for three artificial houseplants. The Future Of Science Is Female is her first book. Her latest book, KILLER LOOKS: THE FORGOTTEN HISTORY OF PLASTIC SURGEONS IN PRISON, was released in October 2021.
