Summary

Avalon Spy Academy rules: spy on the fey, resist falling for your mentor, and try not to die in the process.

I spent five years saving up for a European vacation. But instead of drinking champagne on the beach, I get swept into a war of espionage between the humans and the fey.

It turns out, I have a magic power needed to fight an evil fey king. I'm quickly whisked off to an elite spy academy in a hidden realm. There, in the ancient and gothic halls of Avalon Tower, snobbery and brutal competitions are among the oldest traditions.

As if I didn't have enough trouble, my new mentor is Raphael Launcelot, a maddeningly sexy demi-fey who already ruined my life once. I can't fall for him again. Romance is forbidden here; a distracted spy is a dead spy. So I need to push his dangerous allure out of my mind as we travel into the Fey realm. If we get captured, we’ll die horrific deaths–and humanity won’t stand a chance.

If you liked Frost and City of Thorns, you will love Avalon Tower.

just a bus.

absolutely awesome, as soon as I realised this book is all about Camelot and king Arthur and the knights I loved it. The humour and the storyline are hilarious and interesting, I love the characters especially the two main characters. The dream stalker is surprisingly interesting, and if I'm being honest, very alluring. I enjoyed the academy bits, A certain snob who's name I'm struggling to spell who I found both annoying yet funny. This is definitely a series I'm looking forward to, I can't wait for the next installment. The cliffhanger moment at the end is going to drive me crackers, my mind is already trying to figure out what is happening.

Fantastic Imagery and World Building.🌳🍂🍻🌊

Avalon Tower: Fey Spy Academy, Book 1

🎧 Audiobook Narrated by: Amanda Leigh Cobb
Length: 11 hrs and 37 mins

This is a really good audiobook. Being English myself, I do struggle with a fake English accent as inflections are put on the wrong parts of words etc. This narrator did do a valiant job.👍

This has a slightly odd beginning that makes you wonder what on earth you've picked up. Then, a few pages in, and once you're on board the ship and it's sailing, all hell breaks loose, and the pace barely slackens off until the end, which catches you on the biggest hook!🪝

It has duals, magic, sea monsters, murders, snobby humans, and a sexy Knight!🥵 Obviously, there is more, but that's a taster.😉
The Pendragon family are not at all what we're expecting them to be.🤨

The friends of the mfc's, Nia, 'found family' are brilliant. Serana, Tana, and Darius are all wildly different, but each is supportive and has her back!🥰 Then there are Raphael and Viviane.👀 Viviane threatened to kill her within minutes of getting off of the boat, whereas Raphael and Nia knew each other briefly as teens when he broke her heart!💔 Now they're both two of her teachers.🙈

The world building in this book is absolutely magical, and its imagery makes the world feel almost tangible.😍✨️
I honestly can't wait for book 2. I haven't been this excited about books since the Empyrean series.⭐️

It is absolutely unmissable!💥

What if it was all real?

this is an incredibly cute little book with found family, fae spies and an interesting history set in England but the ending is STEEP.

What if it was real? Camelot. The Knights Of The Round Table. Arthur. Guinevere. Merlin. Lancelot. The Lady Of the Lake. And this whole time… they were protecting the world from outside forces meant to harm and take control? 15 years ago the Fey came to France. Up until that point most had no idea they even existed...
