Back on form
Excellent read. Although it ended how I thought it would, but that didn’t spoil it. Likable characters for me to become invested in. I could listen to this narrator all day long.

Long burn
This was a slow story with a climax worth waiting for. Could have done with editing but most of the detail becomes vital.

Loved every minute
I loved the characters, setting, story and narration. This was my favourite Jane Harper book so far and I didn’t want it to end!

Excellent storytelling
Very good storyline and terrific characterisation. I really felt as if I knew the family and friends group. Great descriptions of the town and area too. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story. Excellent performace as usual

Amazing story. Brilliant writing. Couldn’t put it down.
Jane Harper is an excellent writer and I am reading all her books. Totally understand why she wins so many awards. Her style of writing is so easy to read and conveys so much insight into people and situations.She is skilled at giving you just enough clues for you to think you’re working it out. Love the characters and cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Back to the standard of Book 1
An engrossing story with i intelligent detective work. Excellent narration. Only 4 star though as the editing had scope for being sharper.
