Relatable and Vulnerable

This book is real and raw. Depression is often explained as a collection of symptoms that don't really contain much substance. This book dives deep into the EXPERIENCE of depression and what it's really like to feel depressed, which is much more helpful in answering the question, "Am I depressed?" I found a lot of the author's experience to be really relatable and it made me feel less crazy...especially when he described the feeling of being numb and the reckless behavior. Highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking to learn how to heal depression from someone who has been there.

So Raw and Honest

This book had me from the beginning. The author started by telling an overview of his story and most importantly, what mistakes he made both emotionally and physically. That is very important to help those who struggle with depression to see a perspective of mistakes made and irrational thoughts. Such a great resource for all ages of individuals who suffer from depression.
