Summary
Storm Force is another addictive gripping crime thriller, the seventh in a chilling series of serial killer books, ones that will rapidly convert followers of L J Ross, Faith Martin, Joy Ellis, Damien Boyd and J M Dalgliesh into David Blake devotees.
Two marked men, three missing women and an approaching storm, powerful enough to change the Norfolk landscape forever. As a category four storm looms large over Norfolk’s wide open horizon, DI John Tanner is given the task of solving a high-profile murder. But when another body is found just as three women are reported missing, he faces a race against time to uncover the truth before the storm moves in to destroy everything in its path, including the evidence Tanner so desperately needs.

A good read
Good storyline, I'd rather unnecessarily gruesome. I you're reading this Mr Blake, you need to get consistency going between the Chief Inspector Tanner; one minute he's seen they can't jive until they have solid evidence, the next he's saying 'arrest him' on the basis of a whim! Can't Hascombe it bourg ways!

Sarcasm!
Good story and the only thing that I quickly got fed up with was the constant sarcasm. Almost every question brought a sarcastic answer. Tanner’s boss talks almost entirely in sarcastic comments but also most of the people Tanner interviews do the same. Even Tanner joins in. Get’s annoying and then ridiculous. Keeble is a great narrator but his feminine voice sometimes sounds like Julian Clary.

Great Story
Another great DI Tanner story from David Blake. It kept me engrossed right till the very end. Once again, Jonathan Keeble’s narration is top notch. He really is the best in the business.

Stormy indeed
More of a page-turner than the last one - a good story which moved on quickly.

Good in parts
The narration is quite goofy with characters delineated, but -though this may be just me, too much stress and emphasis throughout. I got used to it, but it is a bit like having a shouted conversation with someone hard of hearing.
The story is reasonably paced and the antipathy between the main character and his boss is kept in check- though why all modern authors seem to think this necessary I do not know.
Only 4 stars as too many characters which are too similar and I found myself not caring about any of them.
