Summary

Symposium of the Reaper is a horror anthology featuring 13 short stories written in distinctive styles. The book was written and sequenced to resemble a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, laughs, and shock. Traversing graveyards, comedy clubs, and art class, the compilation is a collection that leaves the listener guessing at what is coming next. This anthology was forged from the variety of Tales From the Crypt and the anarchic spirit of the Evil Dead franchise.

Symposium of the Reaper is for fans who grew up loving Goosebumps books, but would have preferred if some of them were rated R rather than PG.

Delightful stories of the multifaceted Reaper!!

Another amazing book from Andrew Adams!! It's always guaranteed I'm in for a wild ride, full of surprises!

The narration by Chadwick Poulsen as well is so perfect, one of the best I've listened to so far making the audiobook a unique experience.. Not to mention the background sounds and music that create the perfect creepy and eerie atmosphere for such a collection of horror stories!

The stories themselves are very original and as I walked my dog listening to it I was completely absorbed, wanting to keep walking and walking just to continue listening to them!

I have so many favourites but probably Holy Matrimony, Art Class and The Boy Who Feared Everything stayed with me for different reasons. I'll definitely read the book also as I want to savour these stories again!

This is for you if you like horror stories that manage to send shivers down your spine and simultaneously make you laugh, wishing you could be one of their characters!

Thanks to Andrew Adams for the opportunity to listen to it and this is my honest review.

For your listening pleasure!

An impressive collection of short, horror, stories read with verve and prodigious interest. Coulrophobia and Art Class being personal favourites of mine, the latter more so with its “Dexter-esque” ambiance and execution. To summarise, a respectable gathering of horror stories for a horror fan to get lost in. A few having the potential for expansion into full books of their own, in my opinion. Big thanks to Andrew for reaching out and giving me the chance to listen and review.
