Sometimes we need our friends to help us find our feet…

When Keira first receives her breast cancer diagnosis, she doesn’t want to have to tell her family, or step back from work. She doesn’t want to sit in a hospital, or be part of a group of fellow cancer patients. Cancer is not her club.

But as she accepts that her health is no longer something she can rely on, Keira finds herself embracing running. And running in the company of a group of brilliant, funny women each going through treatment unexpectedly gives Keira the hope she needs.

Because the C-word is not going to define Keira’s identity. And with the Cancer Ladies’ Running Club cheering her on, she’s going to reclaim her life.
One step at a time.

Life isn’t always the race we expected to run but this moving and uplifting novel is full of hope and about love, family, friendship and the power of finding your tribe.

a must read/listen

I loved the story but wasn't a huge fan of the narrator...felt her voice irritated me and almost put me off the main character. Glad I persevered though

Oh my goodness how much I loved this book

I’m going to kick of by saying I’m an author and I know Josie Lloyd personally. I share this as I want to be transparent about my connection to her, but this is 100% my honest reaction to this terrific book. To read something about cancer treatment - one of my best friends went through what Josie did - was incredibly moving for me as it gave me an insight into my friend’s experiences - experiences which can be hard to talk about and process at the time. I also hope this review encourages non breast cancer sufferers to read it - we need to know how it feels to have treatment to support our loved ones as best we can. Along with the cast of characters she creates, Josie enables readers to gain a rounded understanding of different women and the journeys they go through. Great storytelling with real heart.

Beautifully written

A fabulous book. I must admit, I downloaded this a while ago, but couldn’t listen for a while because of a family members diagnosis but this was wonderful, truthful and so uplifting. Thankyou.

Empathy. Love. Friendship and humour.

having been through breast cancer 2 years ago, and thriving now, This made me laugh, cry and marvel at myself and my friends who travelled in the cancer theme park with me.
My husband bought me the butterfly necklace and for that I love him dearly.
RIP my dear sister in law who put up the bravest face to cancer. ❤️
