Not My Favorite

I know a lot of readers really liked this set of books.

I want to say they are not bad books. I just didn’t like them.

To me they were a little repetitive and somewhat boring.
I also wish they had more character development and background story. None of the stories really captivated me and I didn’t really connect with the characters.

I think in the first book they were trying to achieve something with the narration that didn’t quite work out. There were a couple of scenes where Duncan was speaking to his brothers and Fate interjects. Their dialogue overlaps and with both narrators talking at the same time it was distracting and took away from the story.

This is only my opinion. If the synopsis and the other reviews speak to you then I suggest you at least give the first book a try (maybe in ebook format) and see what you think. Everyone has different likes and dislikes. Maybe you’ll end up liking it.

Ummmmm can we get an audio editor?

I've listened to probably thousands of audiobooks and heard some pretty bad audio recordings but this has to be one of the worst by far.
From the clicking of the computer keys to the female narrator saying "opps" to the overlay of dialogue by both narrators where they are both talking at different audio levels but at the same time, like it was spliced on top of each other.
Oh and that was just in book 1.
I'll continue onto the next one but if its just as bad, I'll DNF it.
