Summary

Anna longs for adventure away from her life in Chicago. When she sees an ad from Evan, an officer in the Army, she takes a chance and sends him a letter.

Evan longs for a wife and family of his own. Stationed in South Dakota, he hopes to find someone who can adapt to life in the West. Anna seems the perfect woman for him.

When they meet, the chemistry is there. But when a terrifying event has Anna doubting her decision to live in South Dakota, she knows she must go back to Chicago, leaving Evan heartbroken.

Can Evan and Anna find their way back together? Or will their marriage end in heartache for them both?

Loved the narration of Laurie Harmon, who brings out the drama and romance of our characters. Making this a wonderful listen.

This is a clean short story, Anna is from Chicago, a city girl. Wanting adventure like the ones she reads about in those dime novels. Anna goes against her parents to becomes a mail order bride to a military officer in Dakota territory. Evan is stationed in South Dakota, he hopes to find someone. Anna seems the perfect woman for him.
There is chemistry when they meet. A terrifying event has Anna doubting her decision to live in South Dakota, can Evan change her mind
