About this listen

Every story has a dark side. After learning of the Broker’s true identity, Nephilim battles contradicting memory flashes from her past. In horror, she realizes Metatron has erased her memory.

When she confronts him, he admits to the truth, but the stand-off takes a twist, and her world changes forever.

Meanwhile, the murder of the Guardian Angels continues. This time, the most gruesome one so far, the victim is someone very close to Nephilim.

Enraged, Nephilim sets out to find those responsible, but the whole thing's a trap. The ones pulling the strings want to set an example on her to deliver a message to Metatron.

They'll soon learn the wrath of a killer cyborg. But Nephilim won't emerge from the battle without paying a horrible price.

And the war has only just begun....

The Behind Blue Eyes saga continues!

“Like GoT but Cyberpunk!” (James L. Graetz, cyberpunk author)

“This book will blow your mind!” (Anca Antoci, book blogger)

Continuing to be an exciting ride

I prefer this “episode” more than 2 but less than 1. The new world and fast pace of book 1 set a high bar. The series is now settling into slower pace of a much wider story than Nephilim. We’re seeing independent threads from Metatron, Jake, Nunez and Finnwick. My personal favourite is Finnwick’s arc of growth closely followed by Metatron.

Olympias continues to be a shiny and seedy in equal measures and they’re not mutually exclusive characteristics within the environment. I’d like to see the everyman aspects of the city, and what happens to the people outside of Old Town, even if it is a gun battle through the equivalent of suburbia.

I refer to the book as an episode as some bit from the previous book get tied up and new threads are left open for the next one which I’m looking forward to.

Heating Up

With so much happening in the first 2 audios, it's hard to see how we could ratchet the tension any further, but the 3rd really just showcases just how deep the hidden story is.
With great world building, intense action scenes and surprisingly good love triangle ( not my usual stuff) causing your opinion to change from who should win our MCs heart to what exactly will the political fallout be from these situations, this audio showcases why Cyberpunk should be reborn again.
With this being the 3rd now, Im settled into the narration well and easily instigated into the story flow.
I requested this audio and have decided to leave my thoughts for everyone to see.

This is getting intense!

The action, suspense, tension and surprises you've come to expect from Anna's beautifully fleshed out dystopian world is all present and correct. If you haven't already, you should come to love Metatron in this third instalment - he's the man... or rather, he's the cyborg!

That Cillian Stavros though is a horrible piece of work, and even more slimy and despicable than ever here.

On that note, I'm off to listen to book 4 right away!

What a twist!

In vol.3 we are again welcomed by wonderful narrators and our beloved characters. Pace of story is not slowing down. I love how Author is showing us unique perspective of each person that is relevant to story. With each volume, my own feelings radically change for each one of them. So Jake, I don't like him. Metatron, I very like you and I think i agree with you more and more. As for Nephilim, one advice, keep it cool. Dear review reader, you won't be dissapointed by this book. It is a solid piece of craftsmanship from Anna Mocikat. I listened to this book twice (in two days!).
