2.4: Chef Kyle Young, Executive Chef of The Cafe at the Inn Benicia | Complex Art of Simple, Informal Training, Kitchens as Chapters, Hospitality Is Not One-Size-Fits-All

  • Summary

  • Welcome back to season two with Wendi & Norma, welcoming our friend and local Chef Kyle Young. Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Chef Kyle realized his love for cooking by accident. As a teenager, Chef Kyle had his first restaurant experience in his first job as a dishwasher. Since then and throughout his career he has become a self-taught, award-winning chef, discovering his love of ingredients and garden-reflective, "field-to-fork" menus through rewarding chapters training in Napa kitchens including Brix, Bardessono, Meadowood, The French Laundry and most recently Provisions in Vallejo, California. Today he joins us as the Executive Chef of The Cafe at the Inn located in the Benicia Bay Inn Bed & Breakfast. He shares his journey through the hospitality, community and leadership lessons he's learned along the way. Join us in Benicia, dine with Chef Kyle and even stay in one of Benicia's most quaint B&Bs at the links below.
