  • According to Education Dynamics, the pandemic impacted the enrollment in post-secondary education (primarily Universities) worldwide, coupled with increasing educational costs, the decline in post-secondary is proving difficult to turn around. In addition to this, access to post-secondary education is more readily available to individuals from middle/higher-income households due to their financial resources and access to additional educational support. In contrast, those from lower-income households often face barriers such as limited financial resources, lack of guidance, and the need to work, which hinders their access to post-secondary education, perpetuating socioeconomic disparities. At the poverty level, the situation is even worse. . But it is our reasonability to ensure access to quality education for individuals from poverty/low-income backgrounds as it is a crucial step towards fostering diversity within organizations and leadership roles. We need to give young people the opportunity to embark on their own career journey and contribute to the social and economic development worldwide. In this episode we reflect on the learnings we gain from meaningful career and leadership journeys and how we can give this opportunity to children who may otherwise not have the chance to experience their own development.
