  • Summary

  • Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 1 Kings 19:4

[[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.]] Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; -Psalms 140:1

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 140
This psalm is a cry for God’s protection. In a world filled with threats, challenges, and opposition, the psalmist acknowledges that God alone is our refuge. While we may face difficulties from those who intend harm, we can trust God’s power to deliver us and guard our hearts. His protection goes beyond physical safety; He shields our spirits from despair and strengthens our faith in the face of adversity.

Take time tonight to bring your fears and concerns to God. Breathe out anxiety, and breathe in His peace and strength. Trust in His ability to protect and preserve you, no matter the circumstances.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Praise God for being your defender and refuge. Celebrate His power to deliver you from every danger and His faithfulness to protect His children.

CONFESSION: Reflect on times when fear or worry caused you to doubt God’s protection. Confess these moments and ask for renewed trust in His care.

THANKSGIVING: Thank God for the many ways He has protected and preserved you in the past. Express gratitude for His constant presence and faithfulness.

SUPPLICATION: Father, deliver me from the dangers I face and protect me from harm. Strengthen my heart to trust in Your refuge and peace. Help me rest securely in Your care tonight and always.

    PRAYER
“But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.”
    1 KINGS 19:4
Dear Lord, It is comforting that even a mighty prophet like Elijah felt crushed and depressed. It is even more comforting that You tended to him gently, and restored him with comfort, connection, and calling. Minister to my heart in the same way. When I am at my lowest, would You meet me there? Would You comfort me in my despair? I always want to be honest with You. There is no hiding anything from You, so why lie or hide my feelings? Here I am, Lord! I am imperfect, struggling, and desperately need You. Restore me, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.🙏🏾

    PRAY FOR YOUR COMMUNITY
Father, help me to know You better and deepen my desire to learn about You. Release me from the struggles keeping me from my true potential. Free us from our financial crisis and guide us to find work for independence. Forgive my sins and help me be selfless. Amen.🙏🏾
