    Jan 13 2025

WAIT CONFERENCE 2025|| UNDERSTANDING WORSHIP BEYOND MUSIC|| CHIMDI M. OHAHUNA

Welcome to WAIT CONFERENCE 2025! WAIT stands for Worship, Anointing, Intimacy, and Transformation. This conference is designed to guide us in living a life of true worship, which brings about the anointing—the consciousness of the Holy Spirit. As John tells us, "You have an unction from the Holy One, and He shall teach you everything." This consciousness leads to greater intimacy with God and, ultimately, transformation in our daily lives.

As believers in the Lord Jesus, we are called to live a transformed Christian life. The Bible urges us to let Christ be formed in us, and as He transforms our lives, others will see Jesus through us. When people see Jesus in us, they glorify the Lord. (Matthew 5:16)

Our purpose here on Earth is to glorify Jesus and reveal Christ to humanity. When Christ is revealed to humanity, God the Father is glorified.

In this series, we deeply consider the true essence of worship, challenge conventional perceptions, and broaden our understanding of worship beyond the traditional confines of slow, emotional music often associated with it.

    The Misconceptions of Worship

Explore how worship has been narrowly defined by many. Often, worship is equated with slow music, while fast music is labeled as praise. This limited view has led to a fragmented understanding of worship, relegating it to mere musical expression. This teaching unveils how this misconception affects Christians' daily lives, confining worship to specific moments rather than integrating it into a continuous, everyday practice.

    The Why Question

As we begin a new year, it's crucial to reflect on the past and ask, "Why did things unfold the way they did?" Proverbs 25:2 This teaching unveils the importance of seeking answers and understanding our experiences to gain wisdom and insight, aligning ourselves with God's purpose.

    Purpose in Worship

Understanding worship in its fullness requires us to comprehend our purpose. This teaching unveils how worship goes beyond music and rhythm and is deeply rooted in purpose. Life, creation, and the Christian faith are all about fulfilling God's determined will. Explore how true worship is about solving problems and living according to God's purpose.

    Christianity as a Relationship

This teaching reflects the essence of Christianity, which is fundamentally about building a relationship with Jesus, not merely following a religion. By examining the lives of the first disciples, we’ll see how their relationship with Jesus formed the basis of their faith and worship. This episode emphasizes that true worship stems from a deep, personal relationship with God.

    Manifesting Christ Through Worship

Discover how worship transforms us to manifest Christ in our lives, and how through worship, we become heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. This transformation is not just spiritual but also communal, leading to oneness and fellowship with other believers. Worship, in this sense, is about embodying Christ's image and fulfilling God's pleasure on earth.

The Purpose of Creation and Christianity

The Book of Revelation 4:11 uncovers the purpose of life, creation, and Christianity: to give God pleasure. Explore what it means to be the “thelema” (pleasure) of God and how our existence is meant to fulfill His determined will. Understanding this purpose redefines worship as partnering with God to bring His desires to fruition on earth.

    Worship as Love

Finally, this teaching redefines worship as an act of love. Drawing from biblical teachings, discover how worship is about loving God and humanity. True worship is not just about singing songs; it's about living a life that reflects God's love and brings His pleasure to earth.

Join us at WAIT CONFERENCE 2025 as we explore how to live a life of worship, anointing, intimacy, and transformation, fulfilling our calling to glorify Jesus and reveal Him to the world.
