  • The Fall (Part 2) // Genesis 3:1-7
    Mar 31 2025

In this study, we'll talk about how mature Christians view their own sinfulness and how their perspective affects the way they approach conflict and brokenness in relationships. We'll also look at the incredible scope of the Gospel and some of the many reasons we have to be thankful for God's love for us.

    SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:

Was there ever a time when you viewed God's commands as restrictive and then later realized they were actually blessings?

In what ways do you see the effects of sin and brokenness in your personal relationships, and how can you take responsibility for your own contributions?

In what ways have you experienced or witnessed the 'common grace' of God in your life or the lives of others, even those who may not acknowledge Him?

How does the knowledge that this life is 'as bad as it gets' for believers and 'as good as it gets' for non-believers affect your perspective on current struggles and eternal hope?

How does understanding the 'massive scope of the Gospel' across all of history impact your view of your place in God's plan?

Reflecting on Jesus' words in John 14, how does the promise of the Holy Spirit's presence impact your daily life and spiritual walk?

  • The Fall (Part 1) // Genesis 3:1-7
    Mar 24 2025

Genesis 3 documents the saddest day in the history of Earth, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and fell into sin, ushering brokenness into our world and our relationship with our maker. In this study, we'll look at the deceitful tactics of Satan and how our sin answers the classic apologetics question known as "The Problem of Evil."

    SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:

    - What causes us to focus on what we don't have rather than on the blessings that we do? How can we better live with an awareness of all the blessings we've been given?

    - What's the difference between building healthy boundaries in your life and legalism?

    - Often the hardest temptations to resist are so short-term, they're impulsive (e.g., emotional reactions). What have you found helpful in gaining self-control over impulsive sinful temptations, or are you struggling with anything like this now?

    - Would you say you're sure of God's character or do you struggle with doubts? Why or why not?

    - If someone asked you how God can be good when there's so much evil in the world, what would you say?

    - Read Matthew 4:1-11 together. What sticks out to you?

  • One Flesh // Genesis 2:24-3:1a
    Mar 3 2025

In this message, we'll explore God's original plan for marriage and sexuality, emphasizing the sacred nature of the "one flesh" union between husband and wife. We'll also dig into what Scripture reveals about the origins of Satan and why he was allowed to be in the Gaden of Eden.

    SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:

What stuck out to you from this sermon?

Pride was at the root of Satan's fall. What are some areas of life where you sometimes battle pride? And in those moments, what has helped when you were able to resist that temptation?

What would you say to the person who says, "It's good to live with someone before marrying them so you can learn if you're compatible."?

What are the potential benefits and drawbacks of adult children living at home until marriage?

How can Christians faithfully point to the hope of forgiveness and healing through Christ without failing to warn of the lasting natural consequences of sexual sin? In your church experiences, have you seen this done well or too much on one side?
