The Utica Comets have fired head coach Kevin Dineen after an 0-8-0-1 start to the season. Ryan Parent was named interim head coach. The Comets have regressed the past couple of seasons, but it's not entirely their fault. The New Jersey Devils are set to play the Montreal Canadiens. The New Jersey Devils completed their Western Canada trip with another shutout. They blanked the Edmonton Oilers 3-0. Despite not having Connor McDavid, the Oilers were still aggressive and played with tremendous speed. Luckily, the Devils the took advantage of their golden opportunities.

The New Jersey Devils will be without Curtis Lazar and Nathan Bastian for a while. Both players are sidelined due to injury. While they're not the most touted players on the roster, they certainly help in terms of depth. The Devils' record is currently 7-5-2 and they're in the middle of the pact in the Metropolitan Division. I shared my thoughts as to how the team has performed so far.

The New Jersey Devils played the Vancouver Canucks to kick off their Western Canada trip. The game was once again headlined by the Hughes brothers as all three of them shared the ice for the second time. The Devils thrashed the Canucks with a 6-0 shutout performance. Everybody contributed and it was a perfect team effort.

The New Jersey Devils defeated the Anaheim Ducks 6-2. They also snapped their four-game losing streak in the process. Stefan Noesen collected his 3rd two-goal game against the Ducks and Nico Hischier surpassed Nikita Kucherov for most goals in the NHL. They Devils will now prepare for their Western Canada road trip.
