  • Holly Recommends MID: From No Sex To Best Sex At 49
    Jan 4 2025

Is it getting hot in here... or is it just peri? We have a sexy little treat for you Outlouders and it's an episode all about sex.

Overlooked, touched-out and too tired. That's how many MID women feel about sex. It's how Leslie Morgan felt, too. At 49, her marriage ended, and after not having sex for three years, she decided to change that. Over the next year, Leslie found five boyfriends and discovered her sexual self wasn't actually dead, she was just having a good lie down.

In this MID interview, Holly Wainwright speaks to author and advocate Leslie Morgan, to discuss what women really mean when they say they no longer care about sex, why you should never cover your wrinkles to attract a younger man (if you want one) and how it feels to have the best sex of your life after 50.

  • Word Of The Year 2025
    Dec 31 2024

Happy New Year Outlouders! It’s the first day of 2025, and that means it's time for Word Of The Year.

If you're new here... welcome to the group and to one of our most anticipated episodes of the year.

New Year's resolutions can be a bit drab, so instead, every year we choose a word to that helps us set an intention for the 12 months ahead of us. Word of the year is more of a vibe that helps create a focus or filter for every moment and decision, big or small, that is to come.

But before Holly, Jessie and Mia share their words for 2025... they reflect on 2024. They give themselves a performance review on their word for last year and see if they lived up to them... or better yet remembered what it was!

  • When You Want To Be ‘Unmarried’ But Not Divorced
    Dec 28 2024

Did you know that this time of year is when couples therapists are booked out? Can't think why...

But it's for this reason that we have today's little treat — an episode which Mia Freedman wanted to share with you all from No Filter.

David Finch is a lot of things: he’s an Autism and Neurodiversity consultant, the author of The Journal of Best Practices; A Memoir of Marriage, Asperger Syndrome, and One Man’s Quest to Be a Better Husband, an essayist for the New York Times Modern Love column…and he’s also UNmarried.

In this two-part special episode of No Filter, David Finch opens up to Mia about his life before and after his Asperger’s syndrome diagnosis, his quest to be the best husband and father he could be — and how he ended up UNmarried (and what that even means).

You can hear the second half of Mia's conversation with David here.

  • MID: Holly Wainwright — Grief Has No Time For Your Bullshit
    Dec 27 2024

Outlouders, grief has no time for fancy words and clever jokes. In fact, it hasn't a lot of time for words, full-stop. It's a full-body experience that can change you on every level.

And at this time of year, loss, be it past or present, can feel all the more raw. That's why this episode of MID feels so important to share today. Interfaith minister, author and death-walker Dr Jackie Bailey has experienced a great deal of loss, and she spends her life walking others through it, helping people prepare for it, and acknowledging it when it happens.

If you think that makes for a depressing interview, you'd be wrong. Jackie is insightful, wise and funny, full of both practical and emotional support for the grieving. She's the perfect person to help us through the hard parts.
