Do you know Paddington Bear? This bear was created by a British author. Paddington is popular all over the world. There are picture books, character goods, and even movies.

Paddington lives in London, England, but originally, he came from Peru. Did you know that?

I didn’t know that. My husband is Peruvian, and he told me about it. The beginning of Paddington's story is sad. There was a big earthquake in Peru. Because of that, Paddington was left all alone, but then he met a kind aunt. After that, many things happened, and Paddington ended up going to London.

Recently, Paddington appeared in Liverpool. While I was taking a walk early in the morning, I noticed something on a bench. When I got closer, I saw it was a statue of Paddington eating a sandwich.

It was early in the morning, so there was no one around. I quickly took a photo. But by that weekend, news about Paddington had spread, and many people were lining up to take pictures.

Maybe Paddington will come to your town too. That’s all for today!

The year 2024 is almost over, and December has arrived. What are your plans for the end of the year?

Time flies, doesn’t it? It’s already December. When December comes, we start thinking about the past year and also about the year ahead.

This year, I studied Neurolanguage Coaching® and obtained my certification. Next year, I will start a new coaching program. I’m a Japanese teacher with many years of experience. From now on, I’ll also incorporate coaching methods, and I believe I can provide even better sessions.

By the way, last December, I moved from Northern Ireland to England and spent Christmas and New Year’s in Liverpool. This year, I’m planning to spend Christmas at my relatives’ house in Sweden. I wonder if it will be cold. Will it be a white Christmas? I’m really looking forward to it.

Today, I want to talk about cocktails. Do you like cocktails?

In October, there was an interesting event in Liverpool, where I live. It was called "Liverpool Cocktail Week." If you buy a ticket, you can get cocktails at various bars for a discounted price. Normally, cocktails cost about £10, but with this ticket, they were only £5.

My husband and I bought tickets and visited many bars over the course of a week. We went to some fancy-looking bars we'd never been to before, as well as hidden bars in alleyways.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of cocktails. I can drink alcohol, but not very much. Also, when I drink cocktails or wine, I get a headache right away. So, this event wasn't very fun for me. But my husband really enjoyed it. He even drank the cocktails I couldn't finish.

We tried a variety of cocktails, but the most interesting one was served in a container shaped like a grenade. It looked very unique and funny, but the taste wasn't good at all. It was too sweet, and I couldn't finish it.

    See you next time!
